Gift vouchers
Gift vouchers let guests buy credit for your venue and redeem it later. As an operator you do three things: configure how vouchers are sold, issue vouchers directly to guests, and redeem them at the venue.
Configuring vouchers
Section titled “Configuring vouchers”Voucher sales are governed by Settings → Marketing → Vouchers. This controls the public voucher purchase flow (including the voucher widget).
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Enabled | Master switch — turns gift vouchers on for the venue. Must be on before you can enable the voucher widget. |
| Expiration months | How long a purchased voucher stays valid. |
| Min / Max amount | The lowest and highest value a voucher can carry. |
| Fixed presets | Preset amounts guests can pick from (for example £25, £50, £100). |
| Allow custom | Whether guests can enter their own amount within the min/max. |
| Min / Max quantity | How many vouchers a guest can buy in one order. |
| Terms | The terms and conditions shown at purchase. |
| Payment policy | The payment policy applied to voucher purchases. |
Issuing a voucher to a guest
Section titled “Issuing a voucher to a guest”Beyond public sales, you can issue a voucher directly to a guest from the per-venue Vouchers tab (in the venue’s context menu). Select + Add voucher and:
- Search for the recipient, or create the guest if they’re new.
- Enter the amount (at least £0.50).
- Add an optional message.
- Choose whether it’s Complimentary (a gift you’re giving) or Paid (the guest is paying for it).
The voucher is emailed to the recipient using your branding.
The Vouchers tab also shows stat cards for Active, Expired and Redeemed vouchers, and a table listing each voucher’s recipient, email, expiration, amount, status and venue.
Redeeming a voucher
Section titled “Redeeming a voucher”When a guest presents a voucher, redeem it from the Vouchers tab:
- Open a voucher’s detail, or use Redeem.
- Scan the voucher’s code or enter it manually to look it up.
- Confirm the guest and amount, then redeem.
Because vouchers are single-use, redeeming marks the whole voucher as used — there’s no remaining balance to carry forward. A voucher’s status moves through active → redeemed, or expired if its validity lapses.
