Your account & security
Your personal account settings live behind the cog icon in the header. This is separate from your operator and venue settings - it’s about you and your own sign-in, not the business.
General preferences
Section titled “General preferences”The General tab holds your working preferences, including:
- Reservations drag & drop - turn drag-and-drop on the reservations grid on or off. Handy if you work on a touchscreen and want to avoid moving tables by accident.
The theme (light or dark) is controlled from the toggle in the header rather than here.
Profile
Section titled “Profile”The Profile tab is where you keep your own details up to date:
- Name
- Phone
- Address
- Date of birth
Security
Section titled “Security”The Security tab is where you lock down your account.
Two-factor authentication
Section titled “Two-factor authentication”Add a second step to your sign-in with two-factor authentication (2FA) using a TOTP authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator, Authy or 1Password):
- In Security → Two-factor, start setup.
- Scan the QR code with your authenticator app.
- Enter the 6-digit code it shows to verify and enable 2FA.
You can disable 2FA again from the same place.
Screen Lock
Section titled “Screen Lock”Screen Lock protects the portal on a shared or front-of-house device with a PIN:
- Set a 4–6 digit PIN.
- The portal locks automatically after about 5 minutes of inactivity, and you re-enter the PIN to carry on.
This is ideal for a tablet on the pass or door that several people share.
Changing your password
Section titled “Changing your password”To change your password, use the email reset flow: sign out, choose forgot password on the login page, and follow the link Sidedoor emails you to set a new one.
